“As long as I’m ok, I’m safe.”

That’s a common mentality among road users in Singapore. Drivers, motor cyclists, pedestrians and everyone else on the road included.

Since 2 years ago, 6% of the world died in traffic related accidents. That’s over ONE MILLION people. And that number is growing.

In our little red dot, we hear of accidents almost daily. On average, 200 people die from traffic accidents every year. An even higher number suffered injuries. With a growing car population, we must try to stop this statistic from increasing.

I try my best to drive safely but there will always be busy individuals who seem to regard time to be more important than safety.

This is not a fault-finding site, but if you have been featured on this site, please try to change your habits for your own sake. If you know who the person driving is, please encourage him to change his habit. For the rest of us, perhaps we may want to avoid these people when we see them on the road.
